His Foster mom writes….Adam is precious. He is so polite and just wants to be with us. We can’t get over how much he has learned in the week we have had him. Every morning he climbs up and gives me a hug ❤️ He is such a good boy, he sits and waits for his breakfast. Adam is a true catch! He will be at our Adoption Event this Saturday at Dogs & Cats Rule. Fillout our application at www.SoCoRescue.com ————————- This was our Dumpster Litter, a kind lady named Amber found the puppies when she was throwing out her garbage at the local dumpster. Unfortunately, it's very common in this rural part of GA for people to dump dogs at the dumpster. They were very skinny, scared and living off of disgusting fish remains. She contact Scott at SoCo Rescue and he came out to check it out. They had to be caught so we needed as many people possible to help. Amber called her friend Andrea to help. Thankfully they were able to catch all 4 of them & we were happy to name 2 of the puppies after the ladies that went above & beyond to help these poor puppies. Understandably, they were very skinny and filled with worms. We came close to loosing the entire litter but they showed us that they had a strong fight to live. Thankfully they all made it and are now strong playful puppies. They will need room to run & play in their new home. Being the only male in this litter, Adam was also the self-appointed protector of his sisters. While we were attempting to catch them, he tried his best to draw them away from our trap and keep them shielded from us. Thankfully their desire for food outweighed their fear of people. Since being caught, Adam has learned that he can depend on people to give him the love and protection that he formerly gave to his sisters. There is no doubt that Adam will make a great family companion. Adam has received all three of his first year "puppy" vaccines, routinely de-wormed and up to date on his monthly preventatives. His adopter must agree to having Adam neutered once he reaches 6 months of age and provide verification of such to our rescue. Given his previous life at the dumpster and the amount of hook and round worms that he had, we strongly recommend he be tested for them every three weeks until receiving a clean bill of health.
