One of our former animal care technicians became aware of a pregnant female dog whose owners had decided they no longer wanted their dog. The elderly couple simply stopped feeding the dog, turned her loose and then turned a blind eye towards their dog even when they saw that she was suffering from lack of nutrition, putting her life and the lives of her unborn puppies at risk. The technician was able to convinced the couple to officially sign the dog over to her, offered to serve as SoCo's foster  until the pups were weaned and even offered to adopt the mom dog as one of her own. On March 24, 2022, the mom dog delivered 6 healthy pups 

Lexi may be a little shy at first, but once she realizes you're her friend, she becomes this goofy, lovable girl who will thrive on giving you as much love as you want! Her very affectionate personality makes her a great candidate for anyone looking for a family companion.

Lexi has been spayed, received her rabies vaccine, received two of her first year puppy vaccines, been de-wormed on a regular basis and started on her monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.
