Description:

At one time or another, we're sure Hank was enjoying life and all it had to offer with whoever previously owned him. But then something happened, something unknown to us, and he found himself locked away inside a shelter and in need of a new home. This terribly obese 11 year old boy must have felt very scared and alone after his entire life changed.

Maybe his former owner passed away and no one was able, or willing even, to give him a new home. Maybe he ran away from home in search of a better life or was dumped after whoever once had him decided he just wasn't worth keeping simply because he was old and fat. Whatever the reason, Hank was eventually adopted by a family who must have felt sorry for him for a brief while, but then decided that they no longer wanted him. So, sadly, once again, Hank had found himself in an upside-down world and in need of someone to see his worth.

Hank's misfortunes were once again given hope after one of our great New Jersey volunteers happened across a Facebook plea seeking a new home for this Jenny Craig poster child for obesity. After contacting the person who made that plea, one of our great New Jersey volunteer's offered to give Hank a new home if transportation from the Atlanta area could be found. Knowing that our volunteer would give Hank a great home, we offered our help get Hank to New Jersey so he could begin his new life.

Hank is current with all of his yearly vaccinations, de-worming and other vet care, including being neutered. He recently tested negative for heartworms too!
