What a great gentleman! Loves to play, soft toys and balls, and is house broken! Hasn’t had an accident at all in his foster home!
Does not need to be crated, but will use one. He can be left out at home, alone.
Scrappy loves
to follow you around, sits happily at your feet or anywhere you let him! Loves, loves kids and meeting new people.
Is happy to share a walk or space with a female dog, upon proper introduction, but is not male dog friendly we believe. All dogs would need an introduction and time together! Ignores, mostly, cats.
Great on a slip leash and happy in a harness. Good in the car and is treat driven. Working on sit and stay commands with clicker.
Would make a fabulous family dog and would love a yard to run around in. Likes walks and would happily wander all day, but probably not a great running partner … but who is.
Scrappy has lots of love to offer a family or couple!
———————— Scrappy came to our rescue after being found as a stray in a neighboring county. After not being able to find his owner, Scrappy became a SoCo dog. Scrappy has spent time at both our rescue and in local foster homes. At both locations, the thing that stands out about him is his very friendly personality towards people. He greets each person with a wagging tail, a smile on his face and very eager to make friends quickly. Like any dog, he would need an introduction to other dogs. We Scrappy was cat tested & could care less. Scrappy has been fully vetted, is up to date on his annual vaccinations. He was treated for Heartworm via the fast kill method and should be retested in 6 months. Scrappy will most likely be housetrained.
