Bijou and her brother, Banjo were abandoned at SoCo by a woman who claimed that she found the pups on the side of the road. When staff members told her she's have to speak to Scott, she opened her trunk, which was where she had the pups, placed them on the ground then drove away. Luckily, the pups weren't harmed as she sped out of our parking lot.

Besides being the more dominate of the two, it's easy to tell that Bijou is the caretaker and protector of her brother. While she demands to be first, she also willingly lets her brother have his fair share of food, toys and anything else that they share. She is a very people-oriented pup and loves to snuggle up to them, unafraid to show just how much love she has for her human counterparts. She also plays very well with other pups and would benefit if her new home included another dog.

Bijou has now received 2/3 of her first year "puppy" vaccinations, de-wormed, treated against parasites and received her rabies vaccine. She's also been started on her monthly preventatives. Bijou's adopter must agree to having her spay once she reaches 6 months of age and provide verification of such to our rescue. She will require all of her basic training.
