Rex was found as a stray in the Soperton, GA area. The city's small animal control facility was already packed full and unable to take him in. The young man who found him wasn't allowed to have pets at his home but wasn't about to simply leave Rex along the side of the road. He first went door to door looking for the owner of Rex, but no one had ever seen Rex before nor did anyone have a clue as who this pup belonged to. SoCo Rescue had one empty kennel and was able to take Rex in when the young man contacted us. Our efforts to locate a possible owner also yielded negative results.

Rex is a full of energy, fun-loving and very playful pup. He loves interacting with both people and other dogs, is kind of goofy in his play, and is also a very smart fellow. With a little training and guidance, Rex will make a great companion for an active person or as a family pet. He's not yet been cat tested but does bark at our house cat when he sees her. 

Rex has received an update on all of his yearly vaccinations, been de-wormer, treated against parasites and started on his monthly preventatives. He's scheduled to be neutered on Oct. 20th. Please be prepared to provide Rex with any house, leash or other training that he'll need. He has not shown any interest in our house cat but not yet fully cat tested.
