Marlee is currently located at our shelter in Georgia. She is available for adoption in the New Jersey and surrounding areas and is scheduled to be available for adoption at our June 26th weekend adoption event at All Good Dogs in Monmouth Junction. Marlee spent most of her young life as the companion to a family that she loved very much and with that love also being mutual. But the family came to realize that they couldn't give Marlee the time or attention that she deserved, so they asked us to find her a new home that could give her exactly that. 

Marlee is a very friendly girl but tends to be a little hesitant, at first, to become friends with strangers. She's not aggressive at all but will bark and retreat from strangers, making her an excellent guard dog as well. Based on all we know about her, we truly believe that Marlee's slight apprehension will fade quickly once she's back to being a family companion and not a "shelter" dog. As seen with our staff, all it takes for Marlee to become accepting of a "new" person is a few dog treats, a couple of leash walks (which she loves!) and a few friendly words. She gets along excellently with other dogs, has some house training skills and even wants to be friends with our house cat. Marlee will make a great addition to just about any home and should be considered as a family companion.

Marlee has been kept up to date with all of her annual vaccinations, de-wormings and preventative care. She was also spay while in her former owner's care. While she received house training at her former home, she may need a refresher course once in a new home.
