Bowser's former owner cried the day that she surrendered him to us. While she truly loved Bowser, who had been her companion for a number of years, her health and impending surgeries would have prevented her from giving her little buddy the care and attention that he deserved.

Bowser is such a wonderful little fellow who has all of the typical Dachshund characteristics: friendly, fearless and affectionate. He'll bark at strangers to let them know he's the boss, but quickly turns to mush when he realizes that the new person is just another soon-to-be friend. Despite his age of 11 years, Bowser is still a very active fellow who loves going on walks, playing with his human and canine counterparts. Bowser is near perfect in his interaction with other dogs and even cats. He'll also do very well with children as long as they're responsible enough tom properly handle a small dog.

Bowser has been neutered, received an update on all of his annual vaccinations, been de-wormed and kept on his monthly preventatives. He also recently tested negative for heartworms and received a dental cleaning as well. We were told that Bowser was house trained but his new family should be prepared to offer additional house training if needed. As with all Dachshunds, care should be given to limit his jumping off of furniture as that could lead to back problems for him later in life.
