Say hi to Nina! This beautiful sweet girl is in need of a safe, loving, forever home where she is the ONLY pet. She is an incredibly affectionate, smart, fun dog who will love you unconditionally.
Nina has had a rough start in life and her current family feels incredibly blessed to have been given the opportunity to show her life can be filled with nothing but love and cuddles. They have witnessed her blossom into an incredible love bug. She has yet to meet a person she hasn’t loved or a lap she did not want to sprawl on.
It is with a tremendously sad heart that they need to give her up because they currently have another dog and two cats that Nina cannot be off leash around.
Nina has never displayed any form of aggression towards people. Her family brought in an animal behaviorist in hopes of helping Nina adjust with being around another dog but she diagnosed Nina as having fear aggression and no matter how hard they tried, they soon realized she cannot be off leash around other animals.
While it breaks their heart to have to give her up after spending almost a year with her, they realize that it is not fair to her to have to be kept separate and not have the run of a house. Nina experienced quite a bit of separation anxiety when she was first placed in their home so was put on Prozac which has helped tremendously. They are currently weaning her off and supplementing with CBD oil because she’s becoming more comfortable being left alone for short periods of time. That being said, a great fit for Nina would be a one pet home with a stay/work at home adult. A fenced in yard is also preferred as she loves to run.
