BW and another small dog were surrendered to our rescue after their former owner realized he could no longer care for them due to his failing health. While the owner truly love his dogs, he knew it was best for them to make arraignments for their future. 

BW has really shown himself to be a very friendly little fellow. While he'll bark at strangers, BW quickly becomes friends, especially if there's a treat or belly rub involved!  He's been excellent in his playtime with other similar sized dogs and should do well with children who are old enough to properly treat a dog as he loves to play with people too.  BW had also lived and interacted very well with cats while at his former home, according to his former owner.  

BW has been neutered, received an update on all of his annual vaccinations, been de-wormed and kept on his monthly preventatives. He also recently tested negative for heartworms. We were told that BW was house trained but his new family should be prepared to offer additional house training if needed. BW's former owner stated that he was a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix.
