**ADOPTION PENDING **

Ellie and her sister, Emma, were found as strays by a couple of men who were working in a wooded area. Ellie was fully pregnant and in need of some help if she were to be able to nurse her pups properly. The two men had decided if the sisters were still at the job site the next day, they would take them home and try to find some help for them.

When the men returned the following day, Ellie met them and led them to her litter of pups as if she was asking for help. The men gathered up Ellie, Emma and Ellie's nine tiny pups and took them to their home. Being Hispanic and only knowing very little English, the men contacted their pastor and informed his of the situation. The pastor contacted SoCo Rescue.

Ellie has been extremely friendly to everyone she's met since coming to our rescue. She greets everyone with a smile, loves to play with her sister and other dogs and has quickly won the hearts of our staff. Being on the smaller size, only about 20 lbs, Ellie is ideal for anyone looking for a very personable small dog.

Ellie has been fully vetted, started on her monthly preventatives and de-wormed. Her recent heartworm test came back negative and she appears to be in excellent health despite her homeless ordeal. We don't think Ellie has ever been an indoor dog or received much training so her adopter should be prepared to offer basic training to her.
