**Adoption Pending**  When a lady noticed a man giving away "free" puppies, she became curious about the pups and decided to check them out. She quickly noticed four very cute and playful little 8 week old pups that also looked like they were in need of some very basic care. Their bellies looked swollen by worms and one of the pups looked to have a nasty case of diarrhea. With the owner also admitting to not having provided the young pups with any vaccinations, de-wormings or other vet care, the woman felt compelled to do something to help the pups. After she convinced the owner to let her take the four remaining pups, she contacted her local animal control, who referred her to SoCo Rescue. Johnny (profiled here) and his three siblings came to our rescue that very same day.

Johnny, the largest and most dominating of the litter, also has a very large personality. He fears nothing, conquers all he faces and does it all with a smile on his face. In other words, he is very personable, very smart and very affectionate. This young fellow is going to make a very great companion for some very lucky person. Johnny will need all of his basic training but with his strong Lab personality, he should excel at his training. 

As of May 19, Johnny will have received 2/3 of his first year "puppy" vaccines; his rabies and bordetella vaccinations; de-wormed and treated against parasites. His adopter must agree to having Johnny neutered once he reaches 6 months of age and provide proof of such to our rescue.
