Description:

**Adoption Pending**   While driving home one rainy evening, a couple came across three young pups standing in the middle of the road. The trio of Plott Hound brothers looked lost and confused as they were apparently searching for food and shelter from the rain. Being that they were found in a remote area with no houses nearby, we can only assume that the brothers were deliberately abandoned by someone.

The couple took the brothers home and nursed them back to health. After a search for their owner yielded no positive results, the couple attempted to find new homes for the boys. Percy was offered a home by a family but, for reasons unknown to us, the family returned him a week later. After being surrendered to our rescue, Percy was placed in a foster home.

Percy's motto has to be "just have fun and enjoy life" as he always seems to to have a smile on his face. He's eager to meet new people and other dogs, getting along great with both. Percy enjoys running and exploring all that the world has to offer, making him an excellent choice for someone who is looking for a running companion.

Plott Hounds are a working breed and need plenty of room to run and exercise as well. Plott Hounds are a working breed and need a "job" to do in order for them to properly develop and not get bored. They also have that typical hound  bellow so a home without neighbors to disturb would also be best. Still Plott Hounds make excellent family companions as they are also naturally friendly and smart.

Percy has received an update on his vaccines, de-wormed, treated against parasites and started on his monthly preventatives. He's also been neutered and even tested negative for heartworms, receiving a "clean bill of health" from our vet's office. A microchip will accompany his adoption. Percy will most likely need house training as well.
