*** Higgins is scheduled to be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington,NJ) over the March 6-8 weekend.***

Higgins and his four companions were all found wandering around the Glenwood, GA area. Their daily "tours" had them visiting a number of homes, seeking food, shelter and a little kindness from those they met. A call from our sheriff's department alerted us to their need for help. At the request of the Wheeler Co Sheriff's Dept, we set traps and were able to get this group of small dogs off the streets and to safety. 

While Higgins definitely looks different than his companions, we're sure they all came from the same former home as his four companions seem to look at him for guidance and leadership. But being the "alpha" dog doesn't always mean a dog is more assertive than others as Higgins is a very sweet and gentle fellow. Sure, he's a bit hesitant when first meeting new people but consider what this fellow must have gone through while he was homeless. 

Higgins has been neutered, received an update on all of his vaccinations, de-wormed and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He recently tested negative for heartworms as well. He may need additional house and leash training.
