In a season full of unwanted litters being born to pet owners, a Wheeler Co family only added to the already high statistics that plaque our county. The only good thing about this family failing to be responsible pet owners is that only five pups, not ten or more, were in need of rescue. We call this litter our “Castaways”, naming them after characters from the old TV series “Gilligan’s Island”

Having that classic white and black look to him only adds to how handsome this fellow is. Skipper is very friendly, playful and well socialized towards people. His great personality will make him a great candidate as a family companion and, with proper training, he’ll become a valued member of whatever home he becomes part of.

Skipper is still undergoing his vaccination period but will have already received two of his three first year puppy vaccines before being released to a home. While he can be pre-adopted now, we won’t release Skipper to his new home until Nov. 7. He’s already been de-wormed, treated against parasites and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. His adopter must agree to having him neutered once he reaches 6 months of age and providing proof of such to our rescue. A microchip will accompany his adoption.
