At the kennel Mr Boog is transforming before our eyes!  With many visits from our loving volunteers, he has turned into such a loving gentleman.  He is now walking much better on a leash, comes when you call him & loves playing fetch.  He has a goofy side but is so loving!  He wins everyone’s heart that comes in contact with him.  He is crate & house trained, plays will with other dogs (like with any dog, would need a meet & greet first). This boy is a true gem and any family would be lucky to have him.  This boy had a hard life but you would never know it, he is all about the love.

Boog was among a number of dogs that needed rescue after his former owner was served with an eviction notice. While it took some time and a lot of work, Boog and all of his former companions were placed into rescues, most of them with SoCo.

Boog lived most of his life attached to a tether, it was the only way his former owner had to keep him contained. Even with sometimes limited human interaction, Boog remained very people friendly and loyal, he thrives on human contact. He loves going on walks, playing with people and is still very active. While there were a number of other dogs at his former home,  Boog is selective on who he wants to be friends with. A "meet-and-greet" with any dog he would be sharing a home with would be required prior to the adoption. 

Boog has been neutered, received an update on all of his vaccinations and de-wormings, started and kept on his monthly preventatives and was treated for heartworms earlier in 2019. He may need additional house training
