Arlo and his siblings were all part of an unwanted litter born into a home that "didn't want" puppies but also didn't take measures (spaying of their female dog) to prevent the litter. After some of the pups met their fate through various ways, a concern neighbor offered to take in the three remaining pups, but the owner demanded that this neighbor pay them for the pups. The neighbor did pay the "re-homing" fee and Arlo and two siblings were taken to a SoCo foster home. Our foster did an excellent job in addressing their needs, namely becoming more trusting of people, and the pups made great progress in their time with the foster. The neighbor and her family decided to adopt one of the pups and we've committed ourselves to finding Arlo and nnie, his sister, great homes where they're not viewed as merchandise.

This big, clumsy fellow is a riot to watch! While he may be a little shy at first, once he settles in and starts to play, he is funny to watch as he's still trying to learn how to navigate his huge paws! He's gotten a few bumps and bruises along the way, like the bump on his head that's evident in his pictures,  but nothing serious. Arlo's also a real mush, he thinks he's a 5 pound pup and just wants his belly rubbed.  He will, no doubt, make an excellent family companion in the right home. 

Arlo is going to be a very large dog once fully grown. At nearly 35 pounds at almost 4 months of age, we expect Arlo to exceed 100 pounds before he's finished growing. He's received 2/3 of his first year "puppy" vaccines, de-wormed, started on his monthly preventatives. His adopter must agree to having Arlo neutered at 6 months of age and provide proof of such to our rescue.
