***Annie will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the Sept 13-15 weekend. At this time we're only accepting applications for her adoption from the NJ and surrounding areas.***\

Annie and her siblings were all part of an unwanted litter born into a home that "didn't want" puppies but also didn't take measures (spaying of their female dog) to prevent the litter. After some of the pups met their fate through various ways, a concern neighbor offered to take in the three remaining pups, but the owner demanded that this neighbor pay them for the pups. The neighbor did pay the "re-homing" fee and Annie and two of her brothers were taken to a SoCo foster home. Our foster did an excellent job in addressing their needs, namely becoming more trusting of people, and the pups made great progress in their time with the foster. The neighbor and her family decided to adopt one of the pups and we've committed ourselves to finding Annie and Arlo, her brother, great homes where they're not viewed as merchandise.

It's obvious that Annie and her siblings didn't receive much human interaction or feel loved while with their former owner. Maybe that's why  Annie is a bit timid when first encountering new people and/or places. With her cute, wrinkly forehead, Annie always appears to be very uncertain about things but if you give this girl a couple days, she becomes very well adjusted in no time. Annie is very good with other dogs and it may be best if she has another dog to pal around with. She'll make a great family companion but we'd think small children or a stressful home would not be best for her.

Annie is going to be a very large dog once fully grown. At nearly 30 pounds at almost 4 months of age, we expect Annie to exceed 80 pounds before she's finished growing. She's received 2/3 of her first year "puppy" vaccines, de-wormed, started on her monthly preventatives. Her adopter must agree to having Annie spay at 6 months of age and provide proof of such to our rescue.
