***Lexi will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the Sept 13-15 weekend. At this time we're only accepting applications for her adoption from the NJ and surrounding areas.***

Lexi's former owner moved and simply left her and her newborn pups behind to fend for themselves. Lexi was often seen making the rounds near her former home, rummaging through garbage and whatever else she could find just to survive and be strong enough to care and nurse her pups. When Lexi was brought to our rescue, she was extremely thin and weak but her puppies were all fat and healthy, a tribute to just how dedicated Lexi was in making sure her pups survived. In addition to her poor health, Lexi was also heartworm positive but has since been treated for them.

Lexi has been nothing but wonderful during her time at our rescue. She's very calm, affectionate and friendly to both people and other dogs. We're not positive but she seems to also be ok in sharing her space with cats. Lexi has such a sweet personality that she'll make a great companion for a retired/senior person who is looking for a special friend.

In addition to being treated for her heartworms, Lexi has been spay, received an update on all of her vaccinations and kept on her monthly preventatives. A microchip will accompany her adoption. Lexi may need additional house training.
