 Sugar Baby came to our rescue, along with ten other dogs, after their former owner was evicted from her home. The former owner had contacted a number of other rescues seeking help for her dogs but everyone was packed full and could offer no help. Unable to afford the required intake fee at her local animal control, where the dogs would have faced being immediately euthanized, the owner contacted our rescue after the animal control suggested she contact us. After much work and a lot of prayers, SoCo was able to take in all eleven of the dogs. Sugar Baby and his sister, Carmel, were both placed into the same foster home.

Sugar Baby is a fun,very playful little fellow who has gotten along great with his foster'stwo personal dogs. While he has a lot of energy Sugar Baby also loves being calm and receiving lots of love from the people in his life. He may be a bit hesitant when experiencing new things but quickly adapts with a little patience and guidance. He will make a great family companion but his energy level may be too much for very small children.

Sugar Baby has now been fully vetted, recently tested negative for heartworms and has been started on his monthly preventatives. While he  lived indoors at his former home Sugar Baby may need some additional house training and a little more leash training to master both skills.
