***Lena is scheduled to be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the June 28-30 weekend. At this time we're only accepting applications for her adoption from the NE areas.***

Lena was found as a stray in a neighboring county and taken in by a very kind-hearted woman. This woman gave Lena the love and care she needed, searched for her possible owner but couldn't find anyone who knew anything about this sweet girl. After gaining permission from her local animal control, the woman surrendered Lena to our rescue in hopes that we could find her a new home.

Lena has been such a joy to have around. She is a very well-mannered, calm and somewhat timid dog. She is very quiet, laid-back and rarely does she even bark. She will do very well as an only dog or in a home with a dog who shares her calm demeanor. She also tested OK around cats. Lena will do best in a home without young children and/or a lot of commotion, being perfect for a retired/senior person or in a home with older children. It appears Lena has lived as an indoor pet but a refresher course in house training may be needed.

Lena has now been fully vetted and tested negative for heartworms during her recent vet appointment. She's been kept on her monthly preventatives and will receive a microchip at the time of her adoption.
