***Athena will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the May 17-19 weekend. At this time we're only accepting applications for her adoption from the NJ/PA areas.***

Athena and her two sisters were found along a dirt road. The area is well known as a dumping ground for unwanted dogs, mostly puppies and it's very fortunate that Athena and her sisters were found by a very compassionate man. 

We're not positive of their breed but the sisters have some features that lead us to believe they may have Vizsla within their mix.

While the sisters were terrified and very timid when they first arrived, it was Athena that was the first to become accepting of her new caretakers. After Athena displayed a sense of trust in us, her sisters soon followed her lead. Athena still has a "shy" side to her but has learned that becoming friends with humans does have it's benefits, as in belly rubs and lots of kisses! She plays very with other pups and should coexist in a home with other dogs.

As of April 11, Athena has received 2/3 of her first year "puppy" vaccines with the final vaccine due on June 1. She already been spayed, received her rabies and bordetella vaccines, de-wormed and treated against parasites. She's also been kept on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives and a microchip will accompany her adoption. She will need her house and basic training
