***Akira will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the June 7-9 weekend. At this time we're only accepting applications for her adoption from the NJ/PA areas.***

Akira and her two sisters were found along a dirt road. The area is well known as a dumping ground for unwanted dogs, mostly puppies and it's very fortunate that Akira and her sisters were found by a very compassionate man. 

We're not positive of their breed but the sisters have some features that lead us to believe they may have Vizsla features within their mix. 

When they first arrived Akira and her sisters were very scared and lacked any trust in people, most likely due to a lack of socialization on the part of whoever abandoned them. But with a little patience and understanding, Akira discovered that she loves sitting on a lap while getting affection from people (belly rubs are her favorite!). She also plays very well with other pups and enjoys her time in our play yard.

As of April 11, Akira has received 2/3 of her first year "puppy" vaccines with the final vaccine due on June 1. She already been spayed, received her rabies and bordetella vaccines, de-wormed and treated against parasites. She's also been kept on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives and a microchip will accompany her adoption. She will need her house and basic training
