During the funeral for her late husband, a woman noticed that a stray dog had taken interest in the service and make his way towards the crowd. The dog made his way next to the widow and sat right next to her. The widow felt that her late husband had sent this dog, who she named "Jasper", her way to be a comfort during her time of sorrow and gave Jasper a wonderful, loving home. The woman was recently admitted to an assisted living facility and not allowed to take Jasper with her so we are trying to find him a new home.

While Jasper may seem a bit standoffish at first, he's really a very friendly fellow. He is a bit independent but also loves the attention that he receives from people.  He'll bark at the other dogs but not in an aggressive manner, but we're not positive how he'll be with another dog.  A meet-and-greet with any dogs that  he may share a home with is required prior to adoption.

Jasper was provided excellent care while with his former owner. He's been fully vetted, kept up to date on all of his vaccinations and monthly preventatives and recently tested negative for heartworms.
