"Get them today or I'll just have to kill them all" were the words spoken to us by a Glenwood man who was asking us to take in a litter of puppies that were at his home. It seems a pregnant stray dog had appeared at this man's home s couple of months earlier, had a litter of pups and the man wanted all of the dogs off his property that day. When informed that killing the dogs would be illegal, the man simply stated "I don't care what the law is", He also stated that he "loved" dogs but since his last dog had been hit by a car, he'd rather just kill any strays rather than "end up heartbroken over another dead dog". While we were able to catch the entire litter of 8 puppies, the mom proved to be very elusive and was never caught. 

As can be expected, Bruno was very apprehensive of people when he first came to our rescue. But with a little time and patience, Bruno began to see that all people weren't bad and become very trusting of them. He's a calm, well-mannered pup who would do best in a home with a well socialized dog to help guide him through his growing years. 

As of April 9, Bruno has received 2/3 of his first year puppy vaccines with a final vaccination being due on April 30. He's also received his rabies, been de-wormed and treated against parasites. We've also started him on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. A microchip will accompany his adoption.
