Other Pictures of Big Brother (click to see larger version):***Big Brother will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the April 26-28 weekend.*** "Get them today or I'll just have to kill them all" were the words spoken to us by a Glenwood man who was asking us to take in a litter of puppies that were at his home. It seems a pregnant stray dog had appeared at this man's home s couple of months earlier, had a litter of pups and the man wanted all of the dogs off his property that day. When informed that killing the dogs would be illegal, the man simply stated "I don't care what the law is", He also stated that he "loved" dogs but since his last dog had been hit by a car, he'd rather just kill any strays rather than "end up heartbroken over another dead dog". While we were able to catch the entire litter of 8 puppies, the mom proved to be very elusive and was never caught. Big Brother got his name after being so attentive towards his siblings. When one of his brothers fell sick, Big Brother would lay next to the ill pup, placing his arm around his brother and seemed to be comforting his sibling back to health. Big Brother remains just as devoted and loving towards everyone he meets. A little timid at first, Big Brother quickly becomes accepting of new people, placing his trust and friendship in their hands. There's no doubt that this mixed breed pup will grow to become a great addition to just about any home. As of April 9, Big Brother has received 2/3 of his first year puppy vaccines with a final vaccination being due on April 30. He's also received his rabies, been de-wormed and treated against parasites. We've also started him on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. A microchip will accompany his adoption. Applications for the adoption of Big Brother can be submitted at socorescue.com
