***Slocum will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the March 15-17 weekend. At this time we're only accepting applications for his adoption from the NJ area.***

As a SoCo Rescue team member was driving down the road, he came across Slocum playing with a rock...in the middle of the road as traffic was going by him! It's amazing that Slocum wasn't hit as he didn't seem to care about the passing vehicles, he only wanted to play with the rock that he had found. After he was secured and removed from harm's way, a call was placed to local law enforcement who granted the team member permission to take Slocum into our rescue.

We quickly learned that Slocum's friendliness wasn't limited to rocks or other inanimate objects as he was quick to make friends with everyone at our rescue. He has also gotten along great with the dogs that he has interacted with and always seems to be in a jolly good mood.  

Slocum has now been fully vetted, started on his monthly preventatives and recently tested negative for heartworms. We're not sure if Slocum has ever lived inside a home so his adopter must be prepared to provide basic training.
