***Winnie is only available for adoption in the NJ area. She s scheduled to be at our adoption event at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the Feb 22-24 weekend if not adopted prior to the event.***

Winnie's former owner was heartbroken and terrified when she was served an eviction notice. She had also recently lost her job and her only mode of transportation, leaving her own future in serious doubt. When this woman contacted us she didn't mention her personal needs or ask for any personal assistance, her only concern was finding a safe place for all of her dogs. In the end, all 17 adult dogs and 13 infant pups were relocated to safer and more secure locations. Winnie was among the 12 adults and 3 pups that SoCo Rescue took in. 

Winnie is simply adorable with her sweet and playful personality. She's very affectionate and loves to curl in a lap, getting belly rubs and giving kisses while she's there. She's well mannered but loves to have fun and could do very well in a home with children who are old enough to properly handle a small dog.

While at her former home Winnie got along very well with the dogs she interacted with and has continued being dog friendly while at SoCo Rescue. She simply loves people but we're not sure how she'd be around cats. Winnie has now been fully vetted, recently tested negative for heartworms and has been kept on her monthly preventatives. She may need a refresher course on her house training.
