Mercer and four other dogs came to us as owner surrenders. He had been found as a stray by  woman, given housing and care for a few months until his owner became overwhelmed with the amount of dogs that she had and decided to give some of them up.

Mercer is very dog friendly and loves to play with his canine pals. He is also very people friendly but is a little timid when first meeting new people.This may be the results of limited human interaction at his former home. Regardless, it's easy to tell that Mercer wants to be friends, he just wants to make sure that you mean him no harm before he opens up to you. 

Mercer has been fully vetted, kept on his monthly preventatives and even recently tested negative for heartworms. He may need some additional work to become fully house trained but should accomplish this task with a little patience and understanding.
