**Shy will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the Nov 9-11 weekend.**

Shy and his litter mates all came to SoCo Rescue as owner surrenders but not because their former owner was irresponsible, which is usually the case in our area. Their mom had been a stray that wandered onto the property of a Glenwood resident. Not only did this man give the stray,who he named “Daisy”, love and compassion, but also committed himself to caring for her puppies that would soon arrive after it was discovered that Daisy was also pregnant. This man did provide excellent care and kept Shy and his siblings until they were old enough and space opened for us to take them in. Going a step further, the man opted to keep Daisy and we had her spay through our “Help A Neighbor” program.

As his name indicates, Shy is the shiest of his litter mates. While his siblings are quicker to become accepting of new people, Shy takes a little longer to do so. Still, this very friendly fellow will make a great companion for anyone who is patient and understands timid puppies. 

Shy has received 2/3 of his first year “puppy” vaccinations (his final vaccine will be due on Nov.21), de-wormed, received his rabies and bordetella vaccinations and started on his monthly preventatives. He’s also already been neutered as well. 

Shy's mom is a medium-sized Lab mix and we’re not sure who his dad was. While we're not positive of his breed mix, we expect Shy to be a medium sized dog once fully grown.
