Riley will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the Nov. 9-11 weekend.**

Riley and two other dogs were originally “rescued” by a man who lived in a trailer park. All three had been strays who were in desperate need of a home and it was a very kind gesture that this man did in offering them a place to stay. But after the man was diagnosed with cancer, he relocated to New York and left the dogs alone to once again fend for themselves and in need of rescue. That’s when another rescue group stepped up and offered to take them in. With limited resources to find the dogs a new home, the other rescue asked SoCo if we could help find them new homes and we gladly agreed to help.

Riley is approximately 2-3 years old and classified as a “mixed breed”. He’s a very friendly fellow who gets along great with other dogs but prefers to be fed separately, which could be the lasting affects of having formerly been a stray struggling to find food. He also appears to be house trained, walks well on a leash and would do very well in just about any home situation. His medium-sized body makes him ideal for someone who lives in an apartment, condo or has limited space for a dog.

Riley has been neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed and started on his monthly preventatives. He recently tested negative for heartworms as well.
