**Russell will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) on Oct 19th**

When a man went to check on the noises that were coming from an abandoned house near where he lives, he was startled to find nine very young puppies all huddled together. They were crying out, obviously very hungry and looked very thin as if they hadn't ate in a few days. These pups couldn't have been over 2 weeks of age and their mom was nowhere in sight, meaning that someone had simply left the pups at this house to survive on their own. This man graciously cared for the pups for a month until we could get them into our rescue. Russell came from this litter of pups.

Russell is the runt of his litter, although he's not much smaller than his siblings. Regardless of his slightly smaller size, Russell seems to be the most playful, affectionate of his litter mates. He plays well with other pups and really enjoys his interaction with people..

We're not exactly sure of his breed mix but Russell and his siblings have the appearance of possibly being a Doberman mix. We think the litter will grow to be around 50-60 lbs. Russell will need all of his basic training.

 Russell has received his first year puppy vaccines, he's been neutered, received his rabies and bordetella vaccines; been de-wormed; treated against parasites and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. When adopted, a microchip will also be supplied for him.
