**Buddy was adopted at our last adoption but had to be returned because of current family situation.  He was absolutely the perfect dog & they are heartbroken.**

When Buddy was found as a stray by a woman in our area, she had of the hard life that he had lived so far. Besides being loaded with hook and round worms, Buddy was also suffering from mange. All of those ailments also caused him to be anemic and in need of some serious tender, loving care. The woman had Buddy treated for his ailments and he's back to being healthy and happy.

We also noticed that Buddy's ears had been cut off in the same manner that most fight dogs have their's cut. This appears to have been a "homemade" job, which usually involves just a razor blade and something like Orajel tooth pain ointment to numb the ears during the barbaric practice, which again is common among dog fighters.

While Buddy has a somewhat menacing look, he's nothing short of an angel! This super-sweet fellow loves playing with other dogs as much as he loves being around people. His kind-hearted personality is most likely what saved him from becoming a fight dog and probably why he was abandoned as he simply isn't an aggressive dog. No doubt Buddy will make a great addition into just about any home, even one with other dogs. In fact, he's been used as sort of an ambassador at our rescue, helping to calm the fears of those timid new dogs that come into our rescue.

Buddy has been fully vetted, kept on his monthly preventatives and up to date on all of his yearly vaccinations.
