**Max is scheduled to be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the Aug 24-26 weekend.**

Max' life was great: he had a family that loved him, he had all of his favorite toys and he was very comfortable in his former home. But that all changed when his former owners received some bad news regarding their health, which led them to make the decision to find their beloved companion a new home while they could. SoCo Rescue was more than happy to help.

Max came to us scared, confused and uncertain after his entire life changed. But after a few days, he began to open up and displayed just how friendly he truly is. Going into a new home, Max will most likely approach that situation with the same apprehension but shuld adjust fine within a day or two. His ideal home would be one where someone is at home for a majority of the day

Max gets along great with other dogs, cats and people of all ages. He was house trained at his former home but may need a refresher course when going to a new home. He's leash trained, quiet and not destructive at all. And his size, age and temperament makes him a great candidate for a retired person who is looking for a "faithful" companion. He'll also do very well in a home with older children. 

Max has been fully vetted, recently tested negative for heartworms and kept on all of his monthly preventatives. He did have a slight ear infection when he came to us but  he was treated for the infection. Keeping his well groomed and his ears clean will help reduce any future problems from reoccurring.
