**Rebecca will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the July 13-15 weekend.**

Rebecca came to our rescue after being found as a stray in a neighboring county. While she didn't look famished or in extremely bad condition, we soon found out that this girl was in desperate need of some TLC

After our vet had started her spay surgery, we discovered that Rebecca was in the early stages of pregnancy. Unfortunately at that point, there was no saving her babies and Rebecca's pregnancy had to be aborted. At this same vet visit we also learned that Rebecca was badly infected with heartworms. Once we got Rebecca's health back up, we began her heartworm treatments, which she completed in May 2018. We've also kept her on her monthly heartworm preventative as well as updated all of her yearly vaccinations, de-wormings and other such basic vet care. 

Rebecca is a real people oriented dog. Rebecca is an active dog who loves walks, running in a fenced area and getting attention from people.  While she will bark at strangers, she's never shown any aggressive behavior towards people. She can be a bit alpha when it comes to interacting with other dogs but seems to enjoy playing with them. A meet-and-greet between Rebecca and an existing pet would be recommended

While she is a medium sized dog, Rebecca may be a bit too active for an elderly person but would ideal for someone who is middle to retired aged.She's also been very good around older children. Rebecca has also shown to have some house training but will need a refresher course once in a new home.
