**Ivey will is being fostered in the Pennington, NJ area**

Ivey and her two companions, Santos and Casey, were spotted scrounging for food at a local dumpster site. At first we thought these three dogs had just wandered away from their home for a little adventure but after multiple sightings of them at the same dumpster, it became apparent that these three had been abandoned. After obtaining permission by the county's animal control, we set traps to catch the elusive trio and got them to our rescue.

At first Ivey seemed to be very apprehensive of people, but that was due to being homeless and discarded. While we've made friends with her and she is very friendly, she still remains a bit on the timid side. She's playful with other dogs, has been excellent with people and has not shown any aggression towards our house cat. We think Ivey will do very well in a calmer, low commotion home, even making an excellent companion to an older person. She typically waits until she's out of her kennel to relieve herself, an indication that she's had some house training in the past

Ivey has been fully vetted, de-wormed and even tested negative for heart worms. We've also started her on her monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventatives.
