Description:
**Jasper will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills, located in Pennington, NJ, over the Feb 2-4 weekend.** After his former owner passed away unexpectedly, Jasper and his friend, Rufus, were not only left broken-hearted but also in need of a new home. Relatives of their former owner made it clear that they wanted nothing to do with them and simply left Rufus and Jasper within the fenced area at their former home. But a neighbor took upon the task of caring for these dogs while he searched for a safe place for the pair to go. Jasper and Rufus were in danger of being sent to a high kill shelter unless they both found another option. That option came about when a member of the SoCo Rescue team heard of their plight, stepped up and got them to a foster home.
Jasper's foster mom has provided us with the following description of him: " Hello, my name is Jasper. I am a sweet little boy around 15 lbs. I think I might be a chi/beagle mix but it doesn’t really concern me. I love playing with other dogs, big or small, and I don’t have that thing they call Napoleon Syndrome. I love to cuddle with my foster brothers and sisters. Foster Mom says I am a super-fast learner and have pretty much got this whole potty training thing down in just a couple of days! I also know that when Mom says it’s time to go to bed, that I get to crawl in my super comfy warm crate. I just jump right in. You see, I had to sleep outside in the cold before and I sure do love the warm house and soft blankets. I’m not too sure on being cuddled and I’m still a little shy about the petting thing, but I do like it when foster Mom lets me nap in her lap. And just so you know, even though I have that Chi in me, I’m super chill, not hyper, and rarely bark! I can’t wait to have my very own family to love!" Jasper has been neutered, had all of his vaccinations renewed and recently tested negative for heart worms. Because of his slightly timid personality, we think he'll do best in a home with older children and less commotion. While he is bonded with his friend, Rufus, we will consider adopting the two seperately. But if a home for both is offered, SoCo Rescue will reduce the adoption fees to keep them together. If you can offer Jasper a home that will be safe, secure and help him heal his broken heart,, please submit an application at socorescue.com
