**Valerie will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills, located in Pennington, NJ, over the Jan 12-14 weekend.**

When Valerie was found along the side of a highway she had a young puppy with her  that appeared to be nursing off of her. We assumed the puppy was hers as Valerie was showing the pup the same "motherly love" that any other mom would with it's pup and the pup seemed very attached to Valerie.But when we took Valerie in to be spay our vet discovered that Valerie was actually pregnant. Unfortunately once this was discovered, it was too late to save the unborn pups and the  vet had to abort her pregnancy.

What's amazing about Valerie is that same acceptance of the pup found with her is exactly how she is with all of the dogs she's met since coming to us. Her ultra-sweet personality even extends towards people and she is very friendly to everyone she meets. Valerie is also pretty calm but will play with a much more active dog without showing any signs of aggression towards them.

Valerie has now been fully vetted and even tested negative for heart worms on Dec 6, 2017. We've updated all of her vaccinations, started her on her monthly preventatives and she appears to be in excellent health.

Valerie walks very well on a leash and even shows some signs of being house trained, although she may need additional training once she's in her new home. Valerie will make a great addition to just about any family, even one with children.
