**Skipper will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills over the Jan 12-14 weekend**

When a local woman woke up one morning and found this little fellow on her door step, she knew that she had to try and help him. Unable to find his owner and since her landlord didn't allow pets on the property, she called us to see if we could take him in. 

When "Skipper" first arrived at SoCo, he was a bit reserved towards us, but then who could blame him. He apparently had lost his former home, most likely discarded onto the woman's property and he apparently didn't know if he could trust us. But within a few days Skipper shed his uncertainty and began to thoroughly enjoy all of the attention he was receiving from us. And we discovered that he is simply a wonderful little fellow.

Being a Terrier mix, Skipper does have a very active and playful side to him, but he also is a very calm and gentle fellow who enjoys his "lap" time. He also gets along great with other dogs and hasn't shown any aggressive nature towards our house cat. With his personality, we think Skipper would make a great companion for just about any household, particularly a retired person who is looking for a "little buddy".

Skipper has now been fully vetted and recently tested negative for heart worms. We've also started him on his monthly preventatives and treated him against parasites and worms as a precautionary measure. He does show signs of having some house training but may need a refresher course once in a new home.
