**Whitman will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills, in Pennington, NJ, over the Dec 15-17 weekend.**

Whitman and his 9 litter mates came to our rescue as owner surrenders. 

Whitman is the most "creative" of his litter mates, often finding a way to turn anything into a toy! He's very well socialized towards people and is extremely friendly with other pups. We never got to see his parents and are only assuming that he is some sort of terrier mix. We were told that his mom was a "medium-sized" dog.

Whitman's litter was named after successful people from the Gilded Age (the 1800's) with him being named after Walt Whitman:  an American poet, essayist, and journalist and is among the most influential poets in the American canon, often called the father of free verse.

As of Dec 8, Whitman  has received 2/3 of his first year puppy vaccines, wormed, treated against parasites and started on his monthly heart worm preventatives. He's still a few weeks away from being old enough to receive his rabies vaccine. His adopter must agree to having him neutered at 6 months of age and providing proof of such to our rescue. A microchip will accompany his adoption.
