** Update - Natasha, now Laila, was adopted in October, her mom loves her but cannot give her the time she needs with her new work schedule.  She is doing what is right for Laila & trying to get her the right home that will give her the attention she needs & deserves. Here's what her mom says about her.....

Laila is a Labrador/Shepard mix and is approximately 10 months old. One look at her, and you can see why Laila garners so much attention when she is out on walks. No one can resist that face! Also, though, Laila loves to say hello to people and dogs alike. Please read on to learn more about Laila and how you can be her forever home

Laila is affectionate, super smart, playful, goofy and just an all-around sweet-heart. There will never be a dull moment with her and would make a fantastic companion for anyone. I can’t reiterate enough how important it is that Laila has a safe space to roam around at least once a day. Because of how intelligent she is, I would highly recommend that you channel her energy into productive ways. The Lab in her wants to snuggle with you while the Shepard part of her wants to work and be productive.

Background - Laila and her siblings were among 9 dogs left alone after their former owners moved and left them at a house. The pups were barely a month old at the time and were clinging to their mom for dear life. The pups were in horrible shape, full of fleas, parasites and barely eating as their mom was also starving and producing very little milk for them. Unfortunately one of the four pups didn't survive but we're thankful that Natasha did!
