**Nitro will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills, Pennington, NJ, over the Oct 13-15 weekend**

Once you meet Nitro, you'll find it hard to believe that he would ever find himself in need of a new home. After Nitro was found at a local dumpster site and taken in by a local family, no one stepped up to claim him as their lost dog, leading us to believe his former owner simply didn't want him. But their loss could be your gain!

Nitro goes against the norm of his breed as he's really calm and relaxed for a Jack Russel Terrier. He simply loves human interaction, often found either nearby or in the lap of his foster mom. He also gets along very nicely with other dogs and even takes the timid, submissive role when first facing new things and people. 

Nitro appears to have had some house training, walks very well on a leash and has yet to show any aggressive or alpha characteristics. He also was in pretty decent shape when found and even tested negative for heart worms on hi recent vet visit. All of this is indicative of someone once having loved and cared for him deeply. 

Nitro would most likely do best in a home with older, calmer children or in a home with less commotion. He's an ideal candidate for a retired/senior person.
