**Sparky will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills over the Sept 8-10 weekend**

Sparky formerly belonged to a woman who had plans to simply leave him behind or surrender him to her county shelter after she moved. But a very kindhearted lady, who had been helping the former owner with both of her dogs for the previous year, just wasn't going to let that happen. After this good Samaritan  posted a plea for rescue help, SoCo Rescue was able to assist in finding them a new home.

While at his former home, Sparky received very little human interaction, which has left him in need of some basic training. Despite that need, Sparky is a very people and dog friendly fellow who just wants to be loved. He has never shown any aggressive nature, making him a great candidate as a family companion and would do very well in a home with another dog. We're not sure how he'll be around cats.

Sparky has been neutered and recently had all of his vaccinations updated. He tested negative for heart worms on 8/31/17 and if kept on a monthly preventative, should remain heart worm free. A microchip will accompany his adoption.
