Description:
**Scottie will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the July 7-9 weekend.** Scottie did everything he should have in order to be the perfect dog and never have to worry about needing to find a new home: he became house trained, learned to walk perfectly on a leash, made friends with all the other dogs he'd meet and was always very friendly to new people. He had become very confident that his 6 years with his former owner was just the beginning of a very long life together. But then the unexpected happened when his human companion passed away suddenly, leaving him alone and in need of a new place to live. Since his arrival at SoCo Rescue, where he was placed into a foster home, Scottie has been simply perfect in his behavior. He's shown no signs of aggression and even preformed very well when in the company of young puppies. His only negative trait is that he cries a bit when left alone as he has yet to become accustomed to living without human companionship on a regular basis. Scottie loves to go on walks and is very gentle on a leash. His ultra-friendly personality makes him an ideal candidate for a retired/elderly person or someone who is looking for a very special friend. While he's been excellent around other dogs, we'd suggest a meet-and-greet with any other dogs that may be living at his new home as he formerly was an only dog. During his recent vet visit, Scottie tested negative for heart worms and has just had all of his vaccines updated. If you're looking for that "instant-friend" type of dog that should transition very well into a new home, then plase submit an application for Scottie at socorescue.com
