**Mae will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mill, Pennington, NJ, over the June 16-18 weekend.**

Mae came to us, along with a number of other dogs, from a local "backyard" breeder. Confined to a very small, filthy kennel with her sister, she received very little care or human interaction prior to coming to SoCo Rescue. Her beautiful coat was matted and she was having trouble seeing as her un-groomed hair covered her eyes.

Mae very friendly towards people, a true "cuddle-bug" and just wants to please her human counter parts. We do believe she'll do very well living with another dog but suggest a meet-and-greet prior to adding her to such a home. Her sister (Lottie) was a bit alpha towards her while they were at their former home so she had to put up a defense towards her sister. 

Mae will make someone a great companion, she just needs a little time and patience to work through things such as house training. She is learning leash training and is making progress in that area.

SoCo Rescue doesn't have a professional groomer at our disposal and did what we could to groom and clean up Mae's coat. Her adopter must understand that she will require regular grooming to keep her coat nice and healthy.
