**Little John will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills, in Pennington, NJ, over the May 19-21 weekend.**

For almost 6 months, Little John lived as an unclaimed stray and simple roamed the streets of his neighborhood. Quite often he would visit one house in particular, playing with that woman's other dogs and spending the night in her house. Eventually, the woman took Little John in and eventually surrendered him to our rescue. 

Upon his arrival, we immediately saw just how friendly this medium-sized fellow was as he made friends with our other dogs and the staff rather quickly. He always has a smile on his face and simply adores the attention that he receives. Little John has the most soulful eyes you've ever seen. He's also exhibited a keen sense for house training as he doesn't deficate inside his kennel. Truly this dog will make an excellent companion for just about any home situation.

Little John has been fully vetted and started on all of his monthly preventatives. He did test positive for heart worms but our vet determined his level of infection was so slight that he wouldn't recommend putting Little John through the rigors of the full blown treatment. If Little John is kept on a monthly heart worm preventative, his existing heart worms should die off within 6 months and he'll be free and clear of them. Our vet also doesn't think that any of Little John's organs, such as his heart or lungs, have suffered damage from having heart worms.
