**Smitty is scheduled to attend our upcoming adoption event at Rosedale Mills in Pennington, NJ over the Feb 17-19 weekend**

Smitty and two of his siblings found themselves in quite the predicament after a relative of their former owner took them to a vet to have them euthanized simply because the three dogs kept getting out of a low-fenced kennel. Luckily that vet agreed to work with us and didn't euthanize the three pups, allowing us time to find a safe place for them to stay.

  While very dog friendly, Smitty tends to be a bit reserved around new people at first. But give him a belly rub or dog treat and he becomes your best friend rather quickly. His lack of proper training as a young pup leaves him with the need of house and leash training but he appears to be highly intelligent so continued training should come easy.  

Smitty has recently had an update on all of his vaccines and has been neutered. He tested negative for heart worms and appears to be a very healthy boy.
