**Barkley is scheduled to attend our upcoming adoption event at Rosedale Mills in Pennington, NJ over the Feb 17-19 weekend**

Barkley and two of his siblings found themselves in quite the predicament after a relative of their former owner took them to a vet to have them euthanized simply because the three dogs kept getting out of a low-fenced kennel. Luckily that vet agreed to work with us and didn't euthanize the three pups, allowing us time to find a safe place for them to stay.

When he first meets someone, Barkley can be a little timid but becomes very friendly in a short period of time. He is very affectionate and yearns for attention and guidance. In a very short training session he started to learn his leash training, exhibiting the ability to learn new things quickly. With a little patience and understanding, Barkley should develop into a well-trained and smart dog. 

Barkley has recently had an update on all of his vaccines and has been neutered. He tested negative for heart worms and appears to be a very healthy boy.
