Sebastian and his sister, Abigail, were discarded in a yard of a home a young couple. This couple was awaken late one night after their dogs alerted them to something strange going on outside. When the couple investigated, they found two pups, approximately 10 weeks old, huddled together and terrified. Being very compassionate and loving dogs, the couple took the two pups inside and contacted SoCo Rescue the next day.

At first, Sebastian was very leery of humans. He'd gladly accept the food they offered but retreated when physical contact was attempted. He'd sit and stare, as if he were studying us, and didn't seem to know what to think about these people who were trying to help him. But his fear and concern soon turned to acceptance as he now enjoys getting belly rubs and playing with us. He's still a little on the cautious side but is becoming more and more trusting everyday.

Sebastian, at approx 14 weeks (as of 8/5), has received 2/3 of his first year "puppy" vaccines, his rabies and bordetella vaccinations, been de-wormed and received a parasite prevention treatment. He currently weighs about 20 lbs and should grow to be 40 lbs. While his sister has the classic Blue Heeler look, Sebastian's facial features resemble that of a Doberman. His adopter must agree to having him neutered once he reaches the appropriate age (6-7 months) and supplying proof of such to our rescue.
