Boogaloo and another dog came to SoCo Rescue after their former owners purposely left them at a campsite. It seems that Boog's former owner would move from campsite to campsite, living at each until they were caught and told to leave. This most likely means that Boogaloo has never really had a real home.

Boogaloo was very friendly and sweet right from the start.  He loves to be picked up and snuggled and he loves to run around the yard and play.  Boogaloo has a very balanced disposition.  He gets along well with just about anyone he meets.  He is a bright guy that caught onto the routine of the rescue pretty quickly.  Boogaloo would fit well in an apartment and is a wonderful lap dog.  We've not seen any aggressive, timid or abnormal behavior from Boogaloo,

During Boogaloo's vet visit in April, 2016,  he was diagnosed as being heart worm positive. After being treated with the slow-kill method for the past three months, his re-test on Aug 5, 2016 came back negative!  Boogaloo will need to be kept on a monthly preventative once adopted.  Other than his heart worm status, Boogaloo seems to be a healthy little guy.

As of 7/20/16 it's estimated Boogaloo is between 2-3 years old but he may be slightly older. His current weight is approx. 25-30 lbs. He has been fully vetted, kept on a monthly heart worm preventative and a microchip will accompany his adoption. Boogaloo appears to once have been house trained but may need a refresher course once adopted.
